Reginald was born in Montreal, Quebec, on the 17th June 1885. He enlisted in Montreal, Quebec, 15th June 1916, stating his occupation as a financial agent, and gave his next of kin as his wife, Bertha Hingston, of 166, Crescent Street, Montreal, Quebec. He had previously served for seven months with the 3rd Victoria Rifles of Canada Militia.
He was a Roman Catholic.
